WAYNE RAKETT beast mode at Biffs Gym/Yukon OK
Wayne Rakett/55 yrs young, lives in Yukon Oklahoma, and is making quite a lot of noise in the masters class of amateur bodybuilding and physique. You can sometimes find him at Biffs 24 hr gym there, working out and preparing for his next competition. He says he's been lifting since his teenage years, and only started competitive bodybuilding four years ago, after 27 in the military as an airborne ranger. Weighing 185 at this interview, he plans to compete as a light heavy to middle weight ,masters class.

Wayne says he has worked with Darrell Terrell and has seen much improvements with his physique , strength and standings in competitions.

"Getting a good trainer", is very important, for amateurs who are ready to go to the next step. Get some referrals and chose a good one who you see is transforming people.  Wayne also says that staying on your diet is crucial to gains and success in "the hobby".

"When you first start out with the dieting 12 wks out , your thinking , my god ,this is never going to happen. But trust your trainer, listen to him and follow his program, keep at it ,you can do it. "

"It takes dedication and persistence to cook and prepare healthy meals, instead of just opening a can or package of food. " I mean I don't want to get on my soapbox but, your healthy foods are more expensive than the "unhealthy" foods and it makes it harder to eat healthy, but the rewards are worth it. Your energy is better, your mood is better, your sex drive is better. "

When asked about the reactions he has had with his physique (for his age) . Wayne said, "oh anywhere from denial to disbelief. I get that from friends , family, people don't believe my age, but it's worth it, I have a very supportive girlfriend (they are engaged now) She is gorgeous, we get to go out to nice places, strut around the pool and have fun. I spend a lot of time in the gym but it's worth it , I enjoy life more, and it keeps me out of trouble. "

Wayne has spent most of 2012 both recovering , and preparing for next years competitions and we look forward to updating our readers with his progress!
